AMELIA: Welcome to our podcast, where we explore the world of design and innovation. I'm your host, Amelia, and I'm excited to have Paul with me today to talk about our Undergraduate Certificate in Cross Platform Mobile UI Design and Prototyping. Paul, welcome to the show! PAUL: Thanks, Amelia. It's great to be here. AMELIA: Paul, can you tell us a little bit about the course and what students can expect to learn? PAUL: Absolutely. Our Undergraduate Certificate in Cross Platform Mobile UI Design and Prototyping is a hands-on program that teaches students the skills they need to craft intuitive, user-centered designs that captivate audiences across multiple platforms. Students will learn design thinking, prototyping, and usability testing, as well as master industry-standard tools like Sketch, Figma, and Adobe XD. AMELIA: That sounds amazing. What kind of projects will students be working on, and how will they be able to apply what they learn in the real world? PAUL: Students will be working on real-world projects, collaborating with industry experts to design and prototype mobile apps, wearables, and other digital products. By the end of the course, they'll have a portfolio of work that showcases their skills and demonstrates their ability to apply what they've learned to real-world problems. AMELIA: That's fantastic. What kind of career opportunities are available to graduates of this course? PAUL: Graduates can pursue exciting roles like Mobile UI Designer, UX Researcher, or Interaction Designer. With this certificate, they'll have the skills and knowledge to stand out in the job market and work on a wide range of projects. AMELIA: I know that many of our listeners are interested in learning more about the design process. Can you walk us through what that looks like in this course? PAUL: Of course. The design process in this course is all about user-centered design. Students will learn to research and understand user needs, develop prototypes, test and iterate, and refine their designs based on feedback. We'll also be covering the latest design trends and best practices, so students will be up-to-date on the latest industry standards. AMELIA: That sounds like a really comprehensive approach to design. What kind of support and resources are available to students in this course? PAUL: Students will have access to a diverse, global community of designers and innovators, as well as industry experts who will be providing feedback and guidance throughout the course.
